Corporal Madden has served the City of Bonner Springs as a Police Officer since 2018. Madden holds certifications in Crisis Intervention, Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement and is completing his certification as a Drug Recognition Expert. Madden is also an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course instructor and a WRAP restraint instructor. Madden is a trained hostage/crisis negotiator supporting tactical operations and also a field training officer for new recruits hired to the department. Madden also serves as a certified member of the Peer Support Team. In June 2020 Madden was promoted to the rank of Corporal and currently supervises a patrol shift.
Prior to the Bonner Springs Police Department, Officer Madden was a police officer for the City of Prairie Village and a Deputy with the Johnson County Kansas Sheriff’s Office. Prior to becoming a sworn law enforcement officer, Officer Madden worked as a dispatcher for the Kansas City, MO Police Department.
