1. Do I have to pay court costs if I do not attend court?

Yes. Court costs are assessed by the City and State as an administrative fee to process your citation.

2. Where do I pay my ticket?

You can pay your ticket in person at 13001 Metropolitan Ave (Fire Dept Bldg) during business hours. You may also make a credit/debit payment online or over the phone with Visa, MasterCard or Discover. 

3. What should I wear to court?

The guidelines are as follows: NO flip-flops, NO tank tops, NO hats, NO baggy pants. Your choice of clothing should be respectful and clean. Please see Court Rules & Regulations for additional information.

4. What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept cash, checks/money orders, Visa, Mastercard or Discover. You can also pay citations online.

5. Can I get a continuance over the phone?

The court clerks may grant one continuance from the first arraignment court date. Requests for a continuance must be received 24 hours prior to your scheduled arraignment date and time. Continuance requests may be done in person at the court clerks office  or by phone. If more time is needed, you must appear in court and request another date.

6. Can I have my traffic ticket amended to a lesser charge?

You may request to have your traffic violations with a scheduled fine amount changed to a non-moving violation. The Prosecutor’s Office determines who is eligible to have tickets amended.  Please review the Amendment Process here.
