Traffic control changes are in effect at the intersection of K-7 and Canaan Center Drive located on the north side of I-70. A vehicle incident happened at approximately 4:00 PM on the afternoon of Thursday, August 25, which completely removed one traffic signal pole and severely damaged another one at this intersection. A plan to construct temporary traffic signals has been put in place and is expected to be fully functional by the end of this week.
The I-70 Westbound Traffic Ramp, 224B, exiting Interstate I-70 is closed. Traffic from K-7 Southbound and Canaan Center Drive headed for I-70 West Bound will also be restricted until a temporary solution is in place.
Those traveling through this intersection are urged to use care and caution with the changes in place. Please keep in mind this is a temporary solution as the new poles are expected to take approximately six months to acquire and install. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this project.
