[ARCHIVED] Safe Sitter Course

On Saturday, January 31, the Bonner Springs Parks and Recreation Department is offering a babysitting class for youth 11-14 years old from 9:00-3:30pm. The fee is $40 for Bonner Springs residents and $45 for non-residents. This course provides the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants through school-ages children. Topics include:
• safety issues
• preventing injuries and illnesses
• basic childcare
• first aid rescue breathing
• Infant/child CPR
• care for choking
• age-appropriate behavior and play
Students successfully completing the class will receive a certificate for Babysitting.

For more information please contact Dustin Care, Recreation Coordinator, at 913-422-3404. Registrations are being accepted at the community center located at 200 East Third St. or you can register online. The registration deadline is Wednesday, January 21st.
