[ARCHIVED] Quest for the Blarney Stone Clue #1

For over 200 years, world statesmen, literary giants, and movie stars have joined the millions of pilgrims climbing the steps of the ancient Blarney Castle in Cork, Ireland to kiss the magical Blarney Stone. Blarney Castle was built nearly six hundred years ago by one of Ireland's greatest chieftains, Cormac MacCarthy.
There are many stories as to the origin of the stone, but its powers are unquestioned. Legend has it that the stone carries the Gift of Eloquence. Kiss it and you'll never again be lost for words.

Rumor has it that a Leprechaun has hidden the Blarney Stone in a Bonner Springs city park. Your quest is to find the magical stone that will reward you with a 10 Punch Pass to the Bonner Springs Aquatic Park for the 2014 season. Clues will be released in the Chieftain and on the City of Bonner Springs website (www.bonnersprings.org) every Thursday. The stone must be returned to the Community Center at 200 East Third St., for your reward. There is no digging or climbing needed to retrieve the stone.

Clue #1: Spring is almost near, so this park will be filled with cheer!
