Claims for City Operations

Staff enclosed the supplement claims for City operations in the amount of $ 9,236.27 and the regular claims in the amount of $ 305,826.60.

Make a motion to approve the claims for City operations for July 26, 2021.
Recommendation
The Finance Director recommends approval.
3.

Claims for Public Housing Authority

Staff enclosed the Public Housing Authority regular claims in the amount of $ 14,483.61.  Claims are for services received and goods purchased prior to July 1, 2021.

Make a motion to approve the Public Housing Authority claims for July 26, 2021.
Recommendation
The Finance Director recommends approval.

Public Use Request - Redline Rallys and Fuel House

Brady Dringman with Redlin Rallys submitted a Public Use Request for July 31, 2021 from 5-10pm. The request includes closure of S. Bluegrass Drive from 2nd Street to W. Front St. Redline Rally is hosting a promotional car show and food trucks on Fuel House property and anticipates they may need extra space for overflow.

1.

Sheidley Waterline Replacement Project- Award Bid

Public Works staff initiated a 2021 budget item for replacement of a section of 8" waterline on Sheidley Avenue just north of the intersection with Glenwood Avenue.  This area is in extremely rocky terrain and the current line has experienced multiple failures and service interruptions.  This project is intended to replace this section of waterline which is approximately 600 feet in length.

Public bids were solicited and seven bid responses were received.  The lowest and best bid has been determined to be from Linaweaver Construction, Inc.

Action
Make a motion to approve the bid from Linaweaver Construction, Inc. in the amount of $115,832 for the construction related to the Sheidley Waterline Replacement Project.
Recommendation
Public Works Director recommends approval.
2.

Sheidley Waterline Replacement Project - Supplemental Agreement

This request is for approval for professional engineering services to include construction oversight, project management, and coordination activities for the duration of the project.  The fee will be based on established hourly rates and only for services utilized during the project.

Action
Make a motion to approve the Supplemental Agreement from BG Consultants, Inc. in the amount of $15,750 for professional services related to the Sheidley Waterline Replacement Project.
Recommendation
The Public Works Director recommends approval.

Jerry Lee Jarrett Honorary Street Signs

Action
Make a motion to approve placing signs on Springdale Ave. honoring Jerry Lee Jarrett
