Centennial Park (126 Cedar Street) Beautiful park in historic downtown Bonner Springs that commemorates the city’s first 100 years, 1898-1998. Park features a restored caboose that serves as a Visitor Information Center, water garden, centennial walkway with engraved bricks, limestone bench and planter bed and wheat sculpture. For more information about the engraved bricks, please call (913) 422-1020. The Center is unstaffed and is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. |
Kelly Murphy Park (Second and Elm). The park was built in memory of slain police officer, Kelly Murphy. It is home to the summer city band concerts and ice creams socials and has a large and small pavilion. |

Kerry Roberts Park (east side of K-7 Hwy, 1/4 mile south of Kansas Avenue) – This park is in memory of 10-year old Kerry Roberts who was fatally injured during a baseball game. The family donated the park to the city, which has been maintained as a nature park with shelter house in the back portion of the park, picnic tables with grills, and playground equipment.

Lions Park (300 W. Morse Avenue). 10-acre park located in the heart of the city, which has three lighted ball fields, concession stand and restrooms, outdoor basketball court, two shelter houses and two playgrounds.

North Park (1200 South 134th). This 37.5-acre park is “nestled” in a quiet, attractive country setting and features a two-acre fishing lake with fishing dock. North Park Lake is open to the public during “daylight” hours. No special fishing permit is required to fish. However, persons must possess a current Kansas State Fishing License, and all Kansas fishing regulations must be followed. The City of Bonner Springs is a member of the Community Lakes Assistance Program provided by Kansas Wildlife and Parks. Beginning the first week in April through mid-September, the lake is stocked 13 times (every two weeks) with 75 lbs. of ¾ lb. channel catfish. The lake is also stocked with hybrid bluegill and wiper. No boating or swimming is allowed.
