Planning a Home Remodeling Project? You may qualify for a special low-interest home equity loan. The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) has partnered with CommunityAmerica Credit Union to offer low-interest, fixed-rated on home equity loans to homeowners in participating communities, one of which is Bonner Springs. These loans can be used for a wide variety of home renovation projects, including window and door replacement, roof repair or replacement, plumbing and electrical upgrades and add-ons such as new rooms, decks, porches and fences. For more information about the MARC Home Remodeling Loan Program, please call CommunityAmerica at 913-905-6629 or visit marc.org/loanprogram.
The City of Bonner Springs offers two property tax rebate plans called the Neighborhoold Revitalization Property Tax Rebate Plans. Both plans are within designated areas of the city for construction of new homes and businesses (Plans 1 and 2) and rehabilitation or renovation (Plan 1 only) of existing homes and businesses. The property taxes that are rebated involve taxes levied by the Unified Government, Unified School District 204, Kansas City Kansas Community College and the City of Bonner Springs.
