UPDATED March 26, 2020: Several counties in the area, including Wyandotte, Johnson, and Leavenworth counties have issued Stay at Home orders through the next 30 days requiring residents to remain in place except for essential needs. Following this order and social distancing recommendations is critical to slow the spread of the virus
All City facilities, including the Bonner Springs Library and Tiblow Transit, will remain closed to the public through the end of the order, Thursday, April 23, 2020. Facilities will continue operations through staff working on-site and remotely, and we will continue normal operations as much as possible. We will continue to assess the overall situation on a regular basis, including the extension of this policy, as required.
This is not a decision made lightly and we appreciate the potential disruption to your daily life this could cause. It is important we all do our part to mitigate the spread of this virus—and we felt it was necessary to ensure we are participating in appropriate social distancing. The City of Bonner Springs will continue to provide services, but in a way that best follows the recommendations for social distancing.
City services are still available via phone, email, or our website www.bonnersprings.org. If staff does not answer the line you call, please leave a message with your name, contact number and brief reason for your call. Staff continues to monitor voicemails and return calls. You may also reach us by direct message on social media pages, although please note these pages are not for reporting emergencies as they are not monitored at all hours. We are working to continue serving you at the highest level.
