CONSENT AGENDA

The City Council will consider Consent Agenda items by one motion with no discussion unless the City Council, Staff or the audience requests removal of an item from the Consent Agenda.  The City Council will consider an item removed from the Consent Agenda as the next item after their action on the Consent Agenda.

Claims for City Operations

The supplement claims for City operations in the amount of $312,455.68 and the regular claims in the amount of $219,668.61 are enclosed.
Action
Make a motion to approve the claims for City Operations for September 9, 2019.
Recommendation
The City Manager, City Clerk and Finance Director recommend approval.

Claims for Public Housing Authority

The supplement claims for PHA in the amount of $24,759.58 and the regular claims in the amount of $1,745.43 are enclosed
Action
Make a motion to approve Public Housing Authority claims for September 9, 2019.
Recommendation
The City Manager and Public Housing Authority Director recommend approval.
4.

Massage Therapy Business Establishment and Therapist Licenses - Rennaisance Festival

James Seeley and Tianna Shelley from Helping Hands Therapeutic Massage applied for Massage Therapy Business Establishment and Massage Therapist Licenses for the Renaissance Festival. The applications comply with requirements.

We did not include copies of the applications due to the confidential information they contain.
Action
Make a motion to approve the Massage Therapy Business Establishment and Massage Therapist License for James Seeley and Tianna Shelley for the Renaissance Festival
Recommendation
The City Clerk recommends approval
 

REGULAR MEETING AGENDA

The City Council will consider the following items individually.
1.

Revised Accounting and Internal Control Policy

The policy revision updates current accounting procedures and internal controls to include payroll processing changes and the duties of the Deputy Finance Director. 
Action
Make a motion to approve the Revised Accounting and Internal Control Policy.
Recommendation
The Finance Director recommends approval.
2.

Charter Ordinance for Transient Guest Tax

This Charter Ordinance was previously presented and approved by the City Council but was not published in time to provide the required 60 days notice. The effective date of the Charter Ordinance has been updated.
Action
Make a motion to adopt Charter Ordinance No. 37 raising the Transient Guest Tax rate to 6%.
Recommendation
The Assistant City Manager and Tourism Committee recommend approval.
