The City Council will consider Consent Agenda items by one motion with no discussion unless the City Council, Staff or the audience requests removal of an item from the Consent Agenda.  The City Council will consider an item removed from the Consent Agenda as the next item after their action on the Consent Agenda.

The supplement claims for City Operations in the amount of $19,141.46 and the regular claims in the amount of $ 394,045.22 are enclosed..

The UG wishes to construct, at their sole expense, a Quiet Zone along the UP railway that generally runs near K-32. The QZ would effectively start at Swingster Road in Bonner Springs and extend eastward. The attached agreement describes the improvements to be made, maintenance, and other pertinent matters. 

The agreement has been developed with feedback from City staff and UG staff. It has been reviewed by the City Attorney.

COR 063 – City Hall: Add $16,467.51 to install furring and plywood to create a level substrate to install acoustical Pinta Panels at Court Room ceiling.  The existing wood ceiling joists were found to be greatly out of level by up to 2 ¼ inches. KBS and SFS reviewed 4 different solutions to arrive at the most economical solution that meets the design intent. This is an unforeseen condition.

COR 072 – Police Facility:  Add $350.91 to add power for a vacuum at the sally port. This is an owner request.

COR 073 – City Hall: Credit (-$1,853.33) for miscellaneous drywall/plastering value engineering.

COR 074 – City Hall: Credit (-$487.77) to remove drywall ceiling at removed Room 121.

COR 079 – City Hall: Add $861.88 to install 2.5” shaft wall and fire caulking at 8 openings above stair S03 to achieve 2-hour rating. The openings were unforeseen conditions.

COR 082 – City Hall: Credit ($791.30) to omit framing between the CMU and wall panels in the elevator/stair addition. This is a value engineering item.

COR 084 – City Hall: Add $2,054.23 to upgrade the lighting at the stair addition canopy for emergency lighting requirements. Per engineers, after looking at the plans again the ramp is part of the emergency egress path (since it is getting people to the level of exit discharge). Since it’s part of the path it needs emergency lighting. This is not currently accounted for in the construction documents. This is considered an omission from the drawings and an added value.

COR 086 – City Hall: Add $0.00 to install a data outlet in former vault room for phone connection.

COR 087 – City Hall: Add $5,620.96 to install a door and frame with card reader to Room G02D so room can be secured and used as a mail room. This is an owner request.

COR 088 – Police Facility: Add $2,778.91 to add a window in room 208. This room was formerly the interview monitoring room with no window. It will now be an office. This is an owner request.
